Pricing and Insurance Basics

Visits will be billed to your medical health insurance, when available.
You may contact your insurance provider to check the copay and/or deductible for your visit by calling the number on the back of your insurance card. Dry Eye Care of Michigan does not participate in routine vision plans (such as Vision Service Plans).

Evaluation and Treatment Costs

Evaluation Pricing

At Dry Eye Care of Michigan, we provide thorough evaluations using advanced diagnostic technology to identify the root cause of your symptoms. The cost of your initial dry eye evaluation will depend on the type of testing and level of care required.

If you do not have insurance coverage for medical eye care, we’re happy to review our self-pay pricing with you before your visit so you know exactly what to expect. Our goal is to ensure every patient receives clear, effective treatment options without surprises.

For your convenience, we accept a variety of payment methods including cash, major credit and debit cards, and Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), or WEX Health cards and Cherry.

Payment is typically due at the time of service unless prior arrangements have been made. We also offer self-pay and package pricing for certain dry eye treatments not covered by insurance.

If you have any questions about payment, please contact our office staff—they’re happy to assist and make the process as smooth as possible.

Before your appointment, please verify your insurance benefits by calling the number on the back of your insurance card.

Please note: Dry Eye Care of Michigan does not participate in routine vision plans, such as Vision Service Plan (VSP) or EyeMed, which typically cover only standard vision exams and eyewear.

If you are unsure whether your condition or visit falls under medical eye care, our staff can help guide you. We’re committed to making sure you understand your coverage and receive the care you need.
